A surprise destination, a new adventure

It's Tuesday afternoon on a glorious sunny day in Sydney. Spring has taken its time coming this year, but it's finally arrived. And just as it has, Domi and I are heading south for a short adventure.

Tomorrow we'll take a mid-morning flight to Melbourne - Domi knows that much about our destination. And he knows that when we get to where we're going, there'll be some walking involved. That probably would have come as no surprise, even without the walking poles in the bottom of the suitcase!

From Melbourne airport, we will take the bus in to Southern Cross Station, and then board a train and then a connecting bus to Apollo Bay on the southern coast of Victoria. We'll spend the next five days walking from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles - also known as The Great Ocean Walk. A new destination and a new adventure for us both.

Thought it might be nice to capture - and share - some of the sights along the way. I have a feeling it will be a truly excellent adventure.  'Nous verrons ca!'  We'll see that, as The French says.
